service and maintenance EN

With an outlook towards establishing a lasting collaboration, Sun-Air Research Institute is dedicated to continue its relationship with clients based on enduring commitment which does not end with the supply of products, but on the other hand, is continued by monitoring a satisfactory operational performance throughout the product lifecycle.

As a cornerstone of our policy, client-based solutions are put front and center regarding all products. Particularly, site-related services can be carried out either as full or partial responsibility based on the client’s preference, including but not limited to the following:

  • Wind turbine and components transportation, lifting, craning, installation
  • Complete electrical and instrumentation installation, encompassing assembly, cable work and testing including sub-stations and transformers
  • BoP (balance of plant) services
  • Commissioning and pre-commissioning
  • Maintenance
  • Site management
  • HSEQ

Sun-Air Institute recognizes maintenance as a prominent aspect in quality assurance with direct influence on the long-term success, and an integral part of manufacturing and service that contributes to revenue or saves cost. By active participation and support of all members across the institution, we aim to identify and remedy seemingly minor problems before they turn into a major problem with usually extensive detrimental consequences. Such a framework intends for all equipment to operate at peak efficiency around-the-clock.

With wind turbines being one of our main focuses, annual services and maintenance in this area encompass all activities related to the turbine and transformers, including:

  • Inspection and repair of the tower, blades and nacelle
  • Mounting, hoisting and lifting equipment including bolt torque and tension
  • Entire hydraulic systems along with oil and grease replacement and other ancillaries
  • Electrical systems and instrumentation

Harboring the notion of total responsibility, both preventive and corrective maintenance schemes are provided by employing state-of-the-art technology to reduce potential future costs and, if need be, offering repairing services safely, efficiently, and in the shortest possible time.

Preventive maintenance is carried out according to the manufacturer’s specifications encompassing items such as:

  • Preliminary inspections of all primary and secondary components
  • Regular monitoring of oil, grease, screws, etc.
  • Measurement and/or monitoring of electrical, mechanical and thermal features
  • Comprehensive supply of spares, consumables and relevant tools
  • Plant control and monitoring
  • Systematic documentation and detailed periodic inspections and reports

Corrective maintenance includes but is not limited to:

  • Identifying and resolution of all electrical, mechanical, and telecommunication faults
  • System overhaul
  • Replacement of small and large components
  • Machining and grinding, boring, drilling and tapping, CNC machining on cylinders joint faces for instrumentation upgrades, flange facing and alignment
